TOKYO (majirox news) — Transport time to major train stations in Tokyo is the prime point of dissatisfaction among Japanese business travelers using Narita Airport, according to the Narita Airport Business Needs Survey.

Transport to the Chiba prefecture airport located some 60 kilometers (about 37 miles) from central Tokyo was the biggest gripe among the 1,000 surveyed for the poll even though the Keisei Sky Access, which began operating in October last year, makes the trip from Narita to Nippori in Tokyo in just 36 minutes.

Faster access to major train stations was the main dissatisfaction with Narita’s services according to 52.3% of those surveyed, easily the prime complaint, but followed by a demand by 16.6% for speedier delivery to cities within the capital area and more nighttime and early morning train services sought by 6.1%, to make problems with transport to and from the airport occupy the top three complaints about Tokyo’s gateway to the skies.

Chibagin Research Institute Corp., a private think tank, carried out the survey on behalf of the Chiba prefectural government among 1,000 Japanese business travelers using Narita Airport, 90% of who were men.
