The river where the crime took place

IBARAKI (majirox news) — Four juveniles will soon be arrested on suspicion of drowning their 15-year-old classmate in August in the Sakura River at Mito city in Ibaraki prefecture, according to police.

The high school students, 14 and 15 years old at the time, allegedly attempted to exhort money from their classmate. When he refused to give it to them, they got angry and pushed him into the river.

The three boys and one girl initially claimed the boy had jumped by himself into the river.

“The river’s depth was about 3 meters (9’10″) and also had a strong current,” a police spokesperson said. “Because of these circumstances it was easy to predict that he could lose his life.”

The devastated parents and grandmother said, “We thought something was wrong from the beginning. Why would he jump into the river with his clothes on?”

These kids are bullies, there are consequences for kids like this. Unfortunate for the boy who lost his life. Either way, whether they pushed him into the river or jumped into it himself – they gave him no other choice! To put it bluntly – if they had not bullied him, he would be alive today!

These kids should have to do years of community service. Why not send them up to the Tohoku Region to help them clean up? I think that they would be good at getting rid of all the sludge in the homes that were devasted by the tsunamis.
