The Evolution of International Education: From Personalized Guidance to AI Integration

The Lemon Tree: 10 Years of Personalized Guidance in International Education

Ten years ago, four professionals in the education sector set out to transform the landscape of international education. From that vision, The Lemon Tree Education was born. This month, the Spanish consultancy specialized in international education celebrates its tenth anniversary, having successfully guided over 3,400 students on their personal and academic journeys. Today, with a network of more than 350 partner schools across 10 international destinations, the agency remains true to its founding mission: “not just opening doors to other countries, but pathways to the future.”

Since its inception in 2015, The Lemon Tree Education has established itself as a leader in international educational advising, offering close, transparent, and personalized attention to every family. “A decade ago, we planted a seed: the idea that studying abroad isn’t just about learning a language, but learning to live. Today, seeing our ‘limones’—our affectionate term for our students—mature around the world is our greatest pride,” explains Oliver Rodríguez Pearson, co-founder of The Lemon Tree Education.

Over the past ten years, the company has expanded its offerings from programs in three countries to a robust international network with options in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, the United States, Switzerland, and more. It has also diversified its programs to include summer sessions, boarding schools, full academic years, and volunteer experiences. In an increasingly competitive sector, The Lemon Tree has distinguished itself through its human-centric support, which includes coaching and personal development sessions. As it continues to expand into new territories like New Zealand and Romania, the agency is planning a series of commemorative events for the 2025-2026 academic year.

A New Horizon: Pearson and EMG to Advance AI in Vietnamese Education

While some companies celebrate a decade of personalized consulting, others are shaping the future of education with technology. On October 30, Pearson Education and EMG Education announced the signing of a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at promoting the application of AI technology in Vietnamese education.

The signing ceremony, held in London and attended by high-ranking Vietnamese officials and British government representatives, marks a significant milestone. The agreement focuses on applying AI and advanced testing solutions to support Vietnam’s digital transformation in education, particularly the Ministry of Education and Training’s goal of moving high school graduation exams to a computer-based format.

Under the agreement, Pearson will transfer advanced assessment solutions, apply AI to create question banks, automate test grading, and provide in-depth data analysis. This partnership directly supports Vietnam’s national strategies, including Project 2371, “Making English the second language in schools for the 2025-2035 period.”

“We are delighted to partner with EMG Education… we believe this alliance will generate revolutionary impacts,” said a Pearson representative. An EMG Education representative added that the cooperation “equips the young generation with the necessary skills to confidently integrate globally.”
